Short post. No wi-fi access at the inn except in the lobby.
Day 18 was long. Never want to drive along highway 1 again. Never.
Thought we were done with the curvy, windy roads. Shoulda asked for prayers. Shoulda taken the Dramamine a lot sooner. Martin had the presence of mind to grab his plastic bag before emptying his lunch into it.
Jordan wiped out on a piece of loose pavement. Bringing home a 'trophy', a big ol' scabby knee. Thankful there again that he didn't fall into traffic. Absolutely no shoulder on the narrow roads. Couple of close calls and brushups with cars. About 60% considerate drivers, the rest not. Jordan battling being freaked out by the big rigs and RVs that drive and crowd the duo so close to the edge of the road. Did I mention that there are no shoulders even along the cliff tops?
The inn here was very nice. Great time this morning at breakfast with fellow travelers. Met a lady from Sierra somewhere around here. Here with her son (from Davis) to escape the fires. Her home is in the fire line. Shared that we would pray for her, peace and safety. Please send up prayers for her. Met a couple visiting from England, yet another Brit. Must be a popular destination to come here. Never driving highway 1 again.
Camping at Samuel P Taylor county park tonight.
Please continue to pray. Another day of driving windy roads. Safety for all of us. Soo not getting lost turnign off highway 1 onto Francis Drake Blvd, wherever the heck that is.
Day 19. We were all a little cranky starting out. Must be nearing the end of this journey.
Real quick, if you ever pass through Ft. Bragg check out Cafe Vienna, most delicious crepes.
Bodega Bay Coastal Inn and Suites. Wonderful hospitable innkeepers, made you feel very welcomed and 'at home'.
Alice will have to hose us down in her yard before we enter her home.

Woosh, I can't even imagine those big rigs. Jordan is very macho.
What was that about highway 1, Soo?
We will pray more.
