Honeyman State Park to Bandon, Oregon: 71 miles
Cold all day but fortunately the wind was not as strong. Still no tailwind, however. We biked 75 miles and finished relatively early around 4pm. Jordan was strong as usual. My knee still hurts but not as bad. My right hamstring still feels like it wants to "pop." I'm beginning to think that the problem is not really my hamstring muscle but a nerve on my butt that gives my hamstring a sensation of being strained. Anyway, it's frustrating because there are times I want to push harder but I feel that twinge and must pull back.
No layover day tomorrow. Let's hope these bones recuperate tonight. I met three guys in their 60's at the campground yesterday who are biking from Canada to Mexico. Their bikes were loaded to the hilt with no sag wagon. Impressive.
