Harris Beach to Crannell, California: 92 miles
Today's ride had some of the most beautiful scenery yet and that's saying a lot. We road along the coast, through farm land and climbed hills weaving through redwood forests. Those redwoods are mind boggling regarding their size. This was also a stretch where there were lots of lagoons.
I felt pretty good today, even with all the climbing we tackled. We were only supposed to ride 84 miles today and meet Soo and Martin at Patrick's Point State Park. Since they were still having fun at the Trees of Mystery, we continued on. I'm glad we did too. Since we have a layover day tomorrow, it just makes sense to keep going when you have the strength to do so. Jordan and I felt like we could have gone more than a 100 miles. He was bummed when Soo finally caught up with us.
Tonight we sleep in a hotel at Eureka.
