Port Orchard to Lake Silvia State Park (Washington): 73 miles

My legs are tight today but I hate to think what they would be like if I did not have the Elston's industrial strength muscle massager at my disposal.  Man, that thing was powerful.  They had two different kinds, both wall plug-ins for maximum power.  Forget the battery devices.

Anyway, I took it easy today, spinning rather than pressing and milking the downhill coasting for all their worth.  As Dave Seman would say, "use an age appropriate pace lad."  This is definitely tougher than I thought it would be.  Lots of hills and a stiff head wind.  Also, an amazing number of logging trucks.  Seems like every 10 minutes a logging truck barrels past us.  Fortunately, the loaded trucks were heading the opposite way.

We all had lunch together at Subway in a small town called McCleary.  Martin joined us for the last 11 miles to the campground.  Fortunately, the towing the trail-a-bike was easier today because this last stretch was pretty flat and Martin peddled harder.

Lake Silvia State Park is real nice.  Our campsite is right on the lake.  It sure is cold this evening.  It's summer right?
