Layover day at Manzanita, Oregon. I'm liking these rest days. Gives my bones a chance to recover. I can also have a cold beer for dinner. I feel like Wally Cleaver "in training" on the night before my ride day.
Manzanita is a quaint little town. Very nice. The beach is gorgeous but super windy. First time I saw para-surfers. There were five of them shredding the waves. These guys were ripping. Much faster than any wind surfers with the board and sail. One guy kept launching himself 20 feet or more in the air and each time landed softly. The boys had a great time flying kites and watching Spongebob in the Hotel.
